New Catalog Sneak Peek Project #2…A Little Gift for You

Welcome to day two of New Catalog Sneak Peek projects. Today I have for you an easy gift card to make.

This is perhaps one of my favorite projects I have made thus far. I have never made a gift card holder quite like this before. I once used a template I didn’t end up liking, throwing away all the gift card holders I had made. This one, I love. It was easy to make and decorate. I used the Affectionately Yours DSP again, my favorite from the new collection of papers. The stamped saying is from the Love and Affection stamp set. I broke up the stamp, by just inking one word “sending” then inking “a smile your way”after I cleaned the stamp from the first use. It was really simple to do. If you are unsure of free handing the inking, you can cover the words you don’t want with a piece of paper; this allows you to stamp the word or words you want.

YOU CAN MAKE IT:

*Measure and cut

*Score both sides at 1/2 inches.

*Score the center fold.

*Glue the bottom fold sides, then fold at the halfway point, meeting up top.

*Punch in the center, using a 1 inch circle punch, about 1/4 to half way in.

*Ta da! You have a fancy new gift card holder. Don’t forget to decorate the front.

New Catalog Sneak Peek Project…Enjoy the little things

Have you received the new catalog yet? Our best ever, I believe, will premiere on June 1st. You will be able to order from our online shop, or through me, your new best friend. 🙂 Why am I your new best friend, you say? Well, you’ll find out more next week but I’ll give you a hint *it’s going to be worth it to host a workshop this June with me.* Trust me. More on that next week, though, as we get closer to the catalog launch.

Throughout the next two weeks, until you are able to start purchasing new product, I will be sharing some projects I have made with items from the 2016-2017 Annual catalog.

Today’s sneak peek features the new Affectionately Yours suite–the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper and the Love and  Affection stamp set. I also used the Layering Love stamp set, the new 2016-2018 in color, Dapper Denim ruched ribbon and ink. The card was so much fun to make. I cut the paper diagonally in half, so the card base peeks through. Something a little different for me. The tag was something new, fun, and different for me. I can’t wait to make more of them!

Oh, look. Someone Got a Package!

*Only 20 more days until the new catalog is released! It’s time for a countdown to get excited.*

 I got a package, or two, delivered with SU! goodies from the new catalog. Would you like to see some of the products I got? Of course you do! I know I would. 🙂

Inside, you’ll see some REALLY pretty DSP, a couple of stamps, a new banner punch that is part of a bundle (yay!), twine I am ready to dye, and markers. There was some other retiring products in my package as well. Plus, the in color ink and in color ink refills which are both to die for. The new colors are really great. Either together, or separately they make a great addition to your inks. New to buying refills, they are not just for your stamp bad anymore. You can use them as splatter, as watercolor, and misting. They are great. I am really looking forward to using them.

I was lucky enough to be able to purchase some of my favorite stamps from the new catalog; having used one stamp set already to make a cute card I will post soon.
